Word From Me
Well
Howdy,
Boredom makes a person do strange things. In my case, that's not unusual. But
I've gone far off the deep-end even for myself this time. And before you is
the results - here you have in your hot little hands is the first NEW edition
of the Gazette to see the light of day in five years.
Let's hope I don't get bored like this again ... ever.

Where the holy-heck are we now?
Seems
like everybody would always be asking me where someone was or the latest news...
so here's my run down for you enquiring minds out there:
* Barb, Kat and Todd are still on aol, though today we gather
at Cinema
Chat.
After
a stint as a SAGE host, Kat has been hosting (as Host EMV Pinhead) in
there
on
Friday nights 6-8pm CT. Scott drops by too. Val and Court
visited often too. We even twisted Deb's and Linda's arm into
making a few visits. Sometimes Marge (Barb's handler) or Meagan
(Barb's poptart girl) will visit. You'd better pay a visit before aol eliminates
hosted rooms all together.

Linda has turned from the dark side and no longer is working for aol.
After Sage hosting she'd moved on to other online challenges (you may not know
it, but you've probably already seen some of her work featured on the AOL Welcome
Screen). You can contact her through the addy given on her brand new witty web
blog at: www.groovynoodles.com.

Di, Courtney and TJ are proud moms now.
* Malina, Deb, Scott and Jill are still lurking
around aol =D

Shann formerly said goodbye to aol in 2002.

Carrie and Ken came back to aol in 2004 after leaving for awhile

Di left aol in March 2004 but still keeps in touch through email.
* Laura (the Gazette's former Editor) doesn't use her old aol name, but
she's still alive!

Val and Courtney returned in 2003, but Court left again by late
2004.

HostShadw hung up the thwapper in June 2000. The DRAGONZfyr
name
has been retired since early 2003.

Neopets.com
is so unfair, is slow, and is a poorly run web games site. They're filled with
bugs and glitches and now huge ads one every page! What's up with that? It awards
cheap prizes, the game pay-outs keep dropping lower and lower, and NeoQuest
II is impossible to play in less eight hours on Insane mode! Grrrr!! I've had
to earn every neopoint I own the good ol' fashioned hard way, unlike all Neo-millionaires
because they cheat too!
I'd like write more for this column, but right now I have to hurry back and
play some more ...

A couple from Michigan decided to go to Florida to thaw out during
a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the very same hotel
where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules,
it was difficult to coordinate their travel reservations.

Wrong Email Address

So, the husband left Michigan and flew to Florida on Thursday and his wife flew
down the following day. The husband checked into the hotel. There was
a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However,
he accidentally left out one letter in her email address and without
realizing his error, he sent the e-mail.
Meanwhile... somewhere in Houston, a woman had just returned home from
her husband's funeral. He was a minister for many years and had been
'called home to glory" following a sudden heart attack. The widow decided to
check her e-mail, expecting messages from relatives and friends. After
reading the first message, she fainted. The widow's son rushed into the
room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read
:
To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: 20 March 2004
I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now
and you are allowed to send e-mails to your loved ones. I've
just arrived and been checked in. I see that everything has
been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you
then! Hope
your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
P.S. Sure is hot down here!
